Well, the end of February and beginning of March was full of doctor's visits. From his annual check-up where he was deemed in the 95th percentile for height, to an endocrinologist to check for his growth hormone (which, by the way, is just fine), to the occupational therapy assessment, to a test determining him gluten intolerant. Whew! Glad we are through all of that - now, putting the new lifestyle into place!

Joey getting comfortable at the endocrinologist!
A side note - the doctor sent me to this specialist for his low
blood sugar concerns. The endocrinologist was concerned because
his growth on the charts has increase yearly. At 3 - 50th percentile,
at 4 - 75th percentile, at 5 - 95th percentile. The verdict - he is just
a big boy! |

My sweetie! He had to have blood taken. Luckily the phelebotmist
was patient and coaxed him (with me) for about 5 minutes so we
didn't have to have someone hold him down. After it was all over,
Joey said, "I was so brave, wasn't I?" Hmmm. . . I guess it's
all relative. |

We picked up Nana and Papa at the airport as they returned
from their trip to Florida. We stopped for dinner on the way home. |

My dear friend Carrie gave a fabulous presentation on Autism.
She is getting her doctorite in child development with the core
being based on Dr. Greenspan's RIT/Floortime. I see her
being a top presenter in the nation/world on this topic in the future.
Her passion, knowledge, and understanding are going to help
many families. I am so excited! |
Joey being himself at the airport. He found a "stage"
to perform on! We find him entertaining!
