The Lunch Bunch!

About once a month or so, we try to meet for lunch - the OTs and PTs in this area of the school district.  Well, our coordinator, DJ, moved away, but came back to visit.  So, we had to get together once again!

DJ, me, Brenda, Marla, and, of course, Aurora!

Brenda enjoying Rori!

Vicky joined us later.  What a great group of friends and coworkers!

Gruene with Nicole and Victoria!

Greune, Texas is one of my favorite places to visit for an afternoon.  It is so quaint and welcoming.  We met Nicole and Victoria there for dinner.  We ate outside by the river, went to the country store for ice cream, and the kids played soccer/frisbee in an open area.

My Joey (walking on any line he sees).

Beautiful Greune!

A County Fair!

We attended the New Braunfels fair again this year.  It's just the perfect size for Joey's age.  We enjoyed all of the activities.

Joey got this fabulous machine gun.  We probably
should have gotten it AFTER visiting the animal exhibits
(since some people were offended with Joey's trigger
happy nature with the animals).

A new exhibit - chicks hatching as we watch!
Definitely, a favoorite of ours.

Another new exhibit - getting to hold and play with the fluffy,
baby chicks.

We all had fun!

Joey and Daddy had to have their snow cones (AKA raspas
in San Antonio - the Spanish translation).

A quick photo of me and Jose.

Joey giving us a thumbs up on the ride.

Our Sweet Mabel!  She loves to lounge on pillows.

Saturdays at Nana's and Papa's!

Joey has a Nana and Papa day on Saturday's which ends up with me and Kathy joining them all for dinner.  Many wonderful memories are the result!

Dad (Papa) and his two granddogders.

Joey made custom ordered pizzas for each of us.

Then, he created a 3-layer birthday cake for himself.

Rain!

Oh, how Joey still enjoys the rain!  It gives me a different perspective on this type of weather.  It's so fun to watch him enjoy it!

Mabel's place of safety.  This is where she always goes
when she feels threatened in any way.

Miscellaneous!

We are so enjoying Joey these days.  He still makes mistakes in words which are so much fun to us.  We were getting ready to play a Joey-created game the other day, and he said, "OK, Mom, I am going to give you the destructions."

Joey is enjoying Mabel, and she is enjoying him.  What a great relationship!

Joey and Mabel on the slide!

I love pumpkins!  Ready for Fall and Halloween!

Joey lining up his Sonics to make a YouTube video!

Mabel enjoys being "free" and now must be
on a leash anytime we leave the house.  She
takes off when we open the door.  Luckily, I
have a personal rescue squad.

Joey enjoying the swings while it is
sprinkling outside!

Patient Pepe, always being played with
aka attacked by Mabel.  He is so tolerant!

BBQ!

Mom had just had an oral surgery and wanted to stay home.  So, our Saturday night dinner was barbeque - since Mom doesn't enjoy it like we do.  They had a nice playground and live music.  It was a beautiful night.

Joey laughs at all the new modifications on cars - the eyelashes!

King Joey!

Joey is starting to really enjoy kindergarten.  His class does a writing activity called "King for a Day."  Joey was the 2nd King.  When I picked him up, he stopped me and said he had to show me something in his backpack.  He said, "I present to you. . . . . my crown!"  I love this kid.  I never know what he's going to say.
