Christmas Activities

Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday.  It's really a family time.  We've had lots of fun so far this year.  I can't wait to see what else comes our way.

Here's our gingerbread house.  This is a tradition.
I took a photo a little late.  Pieces of candy kept
"mysteriously" falling off.

I included this photo simply for the back door.
It's a Nutter Butter.  Joey didn't like the idea, but
I thought it was clever.

A simple craft.  Joey's swim teacher from this summer
had her hip replaced.  Joey wanted to go visit her.  This
is what he made her - notice the band-aid on the gingerbread
man's right hip.  Joey has a good heart.

A very special tradition - making Xmas sugar cookies.
My grandmother always did this with us.  What wonderful memories!

Joey had a lot of fun.  I stayed for awhile.

Cutting out the cookies.  Joey was very interested
in making snowmen and Santas.  I wanted to make a
camel for old times' sake.

Frosting the cookies!  This only lasted a little while.  The
best part is decorating with the sprinkles.

Some of the finished product.  Yummy and beautiful!

Papa and Joey "battling" the nutcrackers.
Joey has really enjoyed the nutcrackers the past
couple of years.

Joey and Kathy enjoying a book.  (Oreo wanting to play.)

In the backseat for the live Nativity.
