The Beach/Coast! (Day 2 and 3)

Since we couldn't go swimming at the beach, we toured the area by Jeep and did some tourist shopping.  We also visited the local aquarium and walked along the beach.

There is a constant wind in Rockport.  So much, that the trees
near the shore grow in a slanted manner.

We visited the tourist store.

Jose was intrigued by this wreath which I think
he thought made him look like the "Big Kahuna."

My little shopper. . . he places everything he's
interested in a basket, then, lines them up to make
a good choice.  Luckily, the workers enjoyed it, too.
One even took a picture with her cell phone.
So, Joey chose a stuffed animal.  I just had to
buy him a bag of shells, too.

At the aquarium, Jose and Joey completing crayon rubbings
of sea life.

Check out the eel!

Joey took a photo of me with the shark jaws.

We walked along the beach.

Can you see all the jellyfish?

Our hotel pool which we enjoyed two times a day.

Interesting, some places use old oyster shells as gravel.

The view when you opened the patio door of our hotel room.
Notice Joey in the red shirt.

Walking out our patio door and looking left. . . beautiful.
